last friday the boyfriend and i celebrated one {whole} year of dating! who ever said long distance relationships could never work out? with lots of devotion, determination, sacrifice, prayers, God {oh and emailing, bedtime phone talks, plane rides, texting} and a whole lotta LOVE it all works out in the end.
i was so happy to pick him up at the airport last friday with the boys, they were almost as equally as excited as i was to see him! we ventured back to the boys' home and the fun began of watching d entertain the boys. it was pretty cute watching him interact with the munchkins since he's not around little tykes every day. after work we headed home to visit with my mom then headed to dinner at his favorite restaurant. well, maybe not his favorite but the place that has his favorite dessert {which i knew} but when asked if we were interested in dessert i quickly declined because i couldn't bare to put anything else in my stomach. girlfriend FAIL right here. oblivious to what just happened, left and then reality set in .. my bad. but in loving form he said it was okay, and we're just going to have to go back!
since we're both new to this whole anniversary thing, we were a little unaware of what people do on anniversary's?! we ended up doing what most couples do and reminisce about our crazy/fun/spontaneous year and how God orchestrated it all, along with writing out three questions that we hope to answer every anniversary down the road. all in all it ended up being a fabulous night followed by a fun filled weekend.i love you d.
