not a camper.

Back in the day, my family went camping a ton during the Spring and Summer, but our type of camping consisted of a motor home. As a pre-teen, my friends and I would have sleep overs in my backyard with our huge two room tent, all of us girls would pile in and by mid night my Dad would be carrying us all into the house because we'd get cold, scared, or well it would start to rain. Tents and rain do not mix!

My one and only fond memory of camping was back in High School, there were 6 of us .. Best friends, three boys and three girls, we decided to go camping. It was somewhat of a fun experience, we found a camp ground, had our two room tent, and had many personalities to keep us occupied for days. Our first night the boys thought it would be fun to bake a pizza over the camp fire. This was a huge huge FAIL, and we were left starving and at the mini-mart. The following night we made camp in the middle of a trailer park. Yes, a trailer park. Good times good times.

But truly, camping is not me, at all. I hate the feeling of waking up in a musty tent, feeling damp, and just feeling truly disgusting. Nope, sorry can't do it.

With all that .. The munchkin's got a tent for Christmas and I decided to be the awesome handy Nanny to put it together, since I am a pro and all. ;)

Things got off to a rocky start, I was flustered and there were no instructions.
But with a deep breath and whole lotta strength I figured this darn thing out! And I had two happy boys excited to play inside. I am pretty sure they've been inside this tent 80% of our days, and yes they make me go inside too. But after about 5 minutes I am dying from humidity and need fresh air!
And, I mean what's camping without S'mores?!?! So, Carson, Oliver and I decided to make S'mores cookie style!
So there you have it. The diary of a girl who is a whimp when it comes to camping.
