saturday tid-bits

1. You remember in the last post, the tent. Well, I guess sitting in a tent with a little cutie who has the flu is not the smartest of ideas, because this girl was down for the count yesterday! Thankful it hit me quickly and passed quickly.

2. I am currently baking homemade monkey bread with cinnabon frosting for my brother, let's see how they turn out. I love baking with yeast, but it definitely tests' my patience. If they turn out I'll write up the recipe for the homemade biscuits.

3. Booked my ticket for Arizona next weekend. Praise the Lord. Need Vitamin D STAT! Ohh and I really need to see the boy. ;)

4. And my mom and I just booked a girls weekend in my favorite beach town, Carlsbad! Can't wait to spend a mother/daughter weekend together, and we're praying the sun decides to show a little of its face.

5. Pretty sure January is my least favorite month, well January and March.

6. Someone got her first pair of Tory Burch Ballet Flats. Thrilled to death! My bosses rock.

7. Anyone else watch Passion 2012 on livestream?! I did, and I could not get enough of it. They focused their efforts on human trafficking at this conference, and I think it was SO powerful all they are doing to STOP this awful awful thing, got my mind thinking of what can I do. Also a few months ago a friend of mine gave me the book "Renting Lacy." It is a personal account of sex trafficking in OUR country, goodness did it open my mind and broke my heart. I was sickened when she told me the statistics of the amount of girls between 5-18 who have been sold, lured, kidnapped into the world of prostitution. I highly recommend given it a read.

8. One last thing. This verse is one I kept saying in my head this week, something I really feel like I need to work on lately:

Don't let even one rotten word seep out of your mouths. Instead, offer only fresh words that build others up when they need it most. That way your good words will communicate grace to those who hear them. Ephesians 4:29

enjoy the rest of your weekend!
