Snickerdoodle time, with a twist! Russ and Agata came over for dinner on Sunday, and they had been complaining that I was slacking in the delivery of baked goods to them recently. It's been busy, what can I say? So, I decided to bake up some Snickerdoodles for them, and since Russ loves goodies with frosting and or fillings, I decided to put Cinnamon Cream Cheese in the center of these bad boys!
Preheat Oven 350
Makes 16 Cookies
Snickerdoodles
2 3/4 Cup Flour
1 1/2 Cup Sugar
2 Sticks Soften Butter
2 TSP Cream of Tarter
2 TSP Vanilla
2 Eggs
1 1/2 TSP Baking Soda
1/2 TSP Baking Powder
Cinnamon Cream Cheese Filling
6OZ Soften Cream Cheese
1/4 Sugar
2 TSP Vanilla
1 TSP Cinnamon
Cinnamon Sugar Mixture
2 TSP Cinnamon
1/2 Cup Sugar
2. Add butter, tarter, bs, bp.
3. Add flour.
4. Set aside.
5. Mix together cream cheese, vanilla, cinnamon, and sugar {until it is smooth}
6. Mix together cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl.
7. Take the dough {a little smaller than a golf ball} make into ball and flatten with your hands. Add a TSP of cream cheese mixture in center of dough, then wrap dough around it back into a ball. Roll in cinnamon and sugar mixture and place on cookie sheet.
8. Place in oven for 11-13 minutes!
This is a bit time consuming, but in the end worth every bite!
ENJOY!
