sunshine and snow.

I'm back, from probably the quickest visit ever. Great, but super quick. I headed out Saturday and by the time I landed in Arizona this is what Seattle looked like, SNOW! Claire and the boys sent me this text, of their home ... I left just in time! Many already know, but I highly dislike snow, I believe it was meant for the mountains and only the mountains. This is mainly because I do not drive in snow, I get anxious and it's just not good ... So I was glad to have arrived in sunny Arizona, well it wasn't really sunny.
Sunday morning was the Phoenix Rock n Roll Marathon/Half and the marathoners ran past the boys condo! So we headed out super early and walked to LGO {my favorite} had coffee and breakfast then walked back in time to see the first of the marathoners, "you know the hard core, I'll run the marathon at a 6 minute mile pace the entire time ..." The four or five guys were rollin' so I cheered them on and secretly wanted to join them. But then I realized how much I hated mile 11 in the half I did, and probably will never find any fun in running 26.2 miles.
We're a couple who believes our workout attire needs to be BRIGHT and a bit obnoxious.
I just love LGO. Their food, their COFFEE, their little shopping area, the atmosphere... Sunday morning was probably the quietest we have ever seen it, due to the marathon I am assuming, plus we were there super duper early. I munched on granola, fruit and yogurt, the boy had something with an over-easy egg on top {sick} .. Good conversation occurred, and I was loving the sun shining through.
Iced Vanilla Coffee. to die for.
The rest of the 2.5 days were spent mending to both of our sickness, helping out friends get their home ready to rent, running a few errands, seeing two girlfriends, yogurt, watching football, talking over a book we are reading, dinner on the balcony, extremely scary Walmart experience, and a little relationship building activity {i'll save this story for another post, it involves keys ...}

And dinner date at Black Chile Mexican Grill, delicious. I had the vegetarian tacos {lettuce, sweet potatoes, squash, red onion} light, fresh and tasty. Along with their black beans and rice, it was a bit sweet! We'll definitely go back.
Last, but not least .. We went out on a late afternoon walk yesterday! The sun finally decided to shine, and I was not able to let it go to waste so off we went. It was beautiful, and so very peaceful. Thankful I was able to soak up a bit of this Vitamin D, since I knew in a few short ours I'd be experience more SNOW!!
